Chris Webb - Podiatrist

Chris Webb graduated from the University of Southampton in 2000. He has been the Portsmouth Football Club Podiatrist for 5 years working with the Portsmouth physiotherapist Gary  Sadler and Portsmouth Academy. He was an Advanced Practitioner in podiatric biomechanics with the Portsmouth Healthcare NHS Trust between 2002-2004 and became a full time private practitioner in August 2005 working at various clinics.

At Sports Injury Clinic the Podiatrist Chris Webb works in a multi-disciplinary way with other health professionals to ensure that his patients have the best of care. Among the treatments that the podiatrist can offer in the clinic with his colleagues are:-
Specialized Biomechanical Assessment to include gait analysis
Prescription orthoses Trainer/footwear advice
General care and prevention of foot injuries

Podiatrists are qualified to treat foot and lower limb abnormalities. A podiatrist will carry out a musculoskeletal assessment to assess muscle, joint alignment, strength and the relationship between the motion of the foot and lower limb during walking. This could reveal abnormalities which cause injuries or pain and/or the development of deformities. This will allow a treatment plan to be formulated consisting of a multidisciplinary approach and may consist of orthoses and footwear advice accompanying physiotherapy, orthopaedic or any other specific consultant speciality intervention depending on injury.
